How Love My Maids Started — and Why We're Still Here
In 2015, Ginger Whitson — a U.S. Air Force veteran — launched Love My Maids out of her garage in Grand Prairie with two cleaning technicians and no clients. The idea was straightforward: build a cleaning company that treats employees and clients the way a small business should — with respect, accountability, and zero shortcuts.
The first year was hard. Ginger answered every phone call and figured out what worked by doing it wrong a few times first. But the model held — hire W-2 employees instead of contractors, background-check every one of them, assign dedicated cleaners to each home, and never lock anyone into a contract.
In 2017, Kathy joined Ginger, and together they grew the business, opened an office in Pantego, and now have a team of 30 professional house cleaners serving over 360 recurring clients across Arlington, Fort Worth, Grand Prairie, Mansfield, Bedford, Euless, Hurst, North Richland Hills, and Cedar Hill. More than half the staff have been with the company for over two years — in an industry where turnover is measured in weeks.
Today, Kathy runs the business and has helped the company accumulate over 300 five-star reviews and maintain a 4.9-star average across Google, Yelp, and BBB — every single one of them earned by delivering quality services, friendly customer service, and building a motivated team of professional house cleaners.
Veteran-Owned, Veteran Values
Ginger Whitson served in the U.S. Air Force before founding Love My Maids. The military didn't teach her how to clean houses — it taught her how to build a team, hold a standard, and show up every single day whether she felt like it or not.
That's what veteran-owned means at Love My Maids. It's not a badge we put on the website for marketing points. It's the reason we hire W-2 employees instead of cutting corners with contractors. It's the reason every cleaner is trained, supervised, and held accountable — not just sent out with a bucket and a prayer. It's the reason we back every cleaning with a written guarantee and don't require contracts.
When you hire a veteran-owned business, you're supporting a company built on discipline, integrity, and the belief that doing things the hard way is usually the right way. We also offer a discount to active-duty military, veterans, and military spouses — because we know what that commitment looks like.
We believe In Giving Back
Love My Maids gives back to our community. One way we do so is by donating free house-cleaning services to women undergoing cancer treatment every month through the non-profit Cleaning For a Reason. It is an honor and a privilege to help these women in their time of need.
