What’s Not Included in a Move Cleaning

A move cleaning is detailed, but it is not a restoration service. Love My Maids does not wash walls, remove paint, treat permanent stains, clean mold or biohazards, move heavy furniture or appliances, or clean areas that are unsafe or out of reach.

We also do not clean inside fireplaces, garages, attics, or pest-infested areas. If you have a special request, let us know when you book so we can tell you what we can safely include.

We will get around and under appliances when accessible, but we do not move appliances to clean under or behind them.

Final pricing depends on the home's square footage, number of bathrooms, and its current condition — a recently vacated home that was well-maintained costs less than one that hasn't been cleaned in months. What's the difference between a move-out cleaning and a deep cleaning?

A deep cleaning covers every surface in a furnished, lived-in home — but it doesn't include inside cabinets, drawers, or appliance interiors (those can be added on). A move-out cleaning goes further because the home is empty — we clean inside every cabinet, drawer, and closet, wipe down every shelf, clean drawer tracks, and reach surfaces that are hidden behind furniture in a furnished home. Appliance interiors — oven, fridge, dishwasher — are standard on a move-out. Think of it this way: a deep cleaning resets a home someone is living in. A move-out cleaning prepares a home for the next person walking through the door.

Does the home need to be completely empty before you clean?

Ideally, yes. A move-out cleaning is designed for an empty home because we need access to every cabinet, closet, and wall surface. Furniture, boxes, and personal items prevent us from reaching what we're there to clean. If you're still in the process of moving out, schedule us for the day after the last load leaves. If a few large items remain — a couch waiting for pickup, for example — we can work around them, but the more empty the home is, the more thorough the cleaning.

How quickly can you schedule a move-out cleaning?

We can usually fit a move-out cleaning in within 2 to 5 days of your call, depending on availability. If you're on a tight timeline — closing next week, lease ends Friday — call us as early as you can and we'll do our best to get you on the schedule. We understand move timelines are stressful and rarely flexible, so we treat these as priority bookings when we can.
